Caroline Martin

Caroline is passionate about understanding how individuals thrive within families, groups, and systems. Known for her ability to foster a culture of personal and professional growth, she is recognized as a thought leader in collective efficacy and trauma-informed practices. Caroline brings her values of compassion and curiosity into every working and therapeutic relationship, ensuring a collaborative approach to transformation.


For over 25 years, Caroline has made significant contributions to education and psychology. As Chief Psychologist at the City of Dublin Education & Training Board, she played a key role in promoting collective efficacy within school systems, helping to build environments where staff and leaders work together to achieve common goals. Her expertise has also extended to University College Dublin’s School of Education and Maynooth University’s School of Education. She has led and contributed to European and national projects on professional learning, mentoring, suicide prevention, and student-centred support systems. Before returning to Ireland, Caroline worked with a community-based mental health clinic in the U.S. and led a team of educators for students with additional learning needs in Massachusetts.


Caroline is widely respected for her work in trauma and critical incident response, and for her ability to build and lead expert teams. Her leadership in promoting collective efficacy within schools and other systems has had a lasting impact on those environments. She was a speaker at Zeminar, Ireland’s largest youth event, an advice columnist for The Irish Examiner.

Her academic background includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision from Trinity College Dublin, a Master’s of Science in Counselling Psychology from Salem State University in Massachusetts, a Higher Diploma in Teaching the Deaf, and a BA in German and Linguistics from University College Dublin.


In addition to her private practice and consultation services, Caroline works with individuals, charities, schools, and the corporate sector. A busy mum of three teenagers, she enjoys running and drinking far too much tea.
